The update includes verification of the changes to the cotton fees, which were amended by the Agricultural Marketing Service's final rule published on August 31, 2011 in the Federal Register and which take effect on September 30, 2011. Adjustments required by the verification of the 2011 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) are also included in Update 1106.

(CBP states that if further information is required regarding the cotton fee tariff numbers, contact Shethir M Riva, Chief Research and Promotion Staff, Cotton and Tobacco Programs, via phone at (540)361-2726 or email at Shetir.Riva@ams.usda.gov.) See ITT's Online Archives 11083117 for BP summary of the AMS' final rule on the revised cotton import tax (fees).)

CBP states that the modified records are currently available to all ABI participants and can be retrieved electronically via the procedures indicated in the CATAIR.
