CBP states it must finalize migration of all remaining Trade partners that participate in the CBP Trade VPN Program and use MQ Client to communicate to CBP via Internet VPN (dynamic VPN client) by the mandatory Oct 31 date. After that date, those not making this change will lose their connectivity to CBP systems.

Those with questions or a connection problem after the October 31, 2011 migration end date may contact DHS/CBP at 1-877-347-1638 option 1.

(See ITT's Online Archives 10111907 for summary of a similar CBP message of mandatory changes for the migration of the Trade System VPN endpoints to the new DHS Data Center's VPN Gateways. This older message had stated that the mandatory changes must be implemented or scheduled with CBP by December 15, 2010, and that the failure to implement or schedule these changes by December 15 could result in the loss of connectivity to CBP trade systems.)
