CBP Posts Sept 2011 TSN Monthly Committee Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted the September 2011 Trade Support Network (TSN) Committee Report. The report provides details on the following TSN component activities (partial list):

  • Account Management Committee - Four outstanding Great Idea Forms (GIFs) that need to be finalized on (i) PSC Portal Functionality, (ii) Document Image System, (iii) Expansion of Declaration Record Types, and (iv) Corrections to the PGA Message Set.
  • Entry Committee - Clarification on a number of issues related to Post Summary Corrections (PSC), including visibility of data elements for the original entry summary filer, whether de minimis amounts will be reflected in the record, cargo release GIF status spreadsheet, etc.
  • Export, Multi-Modal Manifest, ITDS Committees - Development of user requirements for the automated export manifest for each mode of transportation, etc.
  • Legal Policy Committee - Web based posting of the bulletin notice of liquidation, visibility of PSC information, status of cargo release GIFs, a new account type to allow the legal community to participate in ACE, etc.
  • Drawback Subcommittee - Possibility of using the PSC framework to transition ACS drawback to ACE.
  • e-Bond Subcommittee - Initial stages of working with CBP to develop the e-STB process for ACE cargo release.
