(See ITT's Online Archives 11031427 for summary of FTC's advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) on (i) examining the Fur Products Name Guide (e.g., determining whether any name changes are needed) and (ii) conforming its regulations to the 2010 Truth in Fur Labeling Act, which eliminates the fur-content labeling exemption for apparel that only contains relatively small quantities or values of fur. With the elimination of this exemption (see note on grace period below), almost all apparel with fur requires labeling.

See ITT's Online Archives 11040732 for summary of FTC grace period for the loss of this exemption, for apparel with fur that was delivered to the retailer by March 18, 2011 and is sold by March 18, 2012.

See ITT's Online Archives 11071548 for summary of FTC notice on the revision of its ten-year regulatory review schedule, which among other things noted that a review of the rules and regulations under the Fur Products Labeling Act was being initiated in 2011.)
