3D Land (CED Nov 15 p8). Cumulative 3DS sales grew to an estimated 2.4 million in Japan, according to Media Create’s data. All weekly sales estimates are rounded to the nearest 100. The PSP remained the No. 2 system in Japan, but sales slid to 23,500 from 28,000. The PS3 repeated at No. 3, sales falling to 22,900 from 27,000. The Wii was again No. 4, sales growing to 11,800 from 11,700. The DSi LL remained No. 5, sales dipping to 1,800 from 2,000. The Xbox 360 repeated at No. 6, sales slipping to 1,500 from 1,700. The PS2 was again No. 7, with sales of 1,300 vs. 1,500. The DSi remained No. 8, sales dipping to 900 from 1,100. The DS Lite was again No. 9, sales again well below 100. Sega’s Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Extend for the PSP became the best-selling videogame in Japan its first week available, moving 184,700 copies. Super Mario 3D Land fell to No. 4 in its second week, sales tumbling to 93,400 from 343,500. Also beating it this time were new releases Capcom’s Sengoku Basara 3: Utage for the PS3, No. 2 with 124,200 sold, and Sony Computer Entertainment’s Ore no Shikabane o Koete for the PSP, No. 3 with 94,100 sold. Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Type-O for the PSP was down one at No. 5 as sales fell to 57,100 from 122,300.
