Open ACE ESAR A2.2 Programming Issues (Zero Closed, 4 Added)
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an updated version of its spreadsheet of ACE ESAR A2.2 (Initial Entry Types) programming issues.

(ESAR A2.2 allows for the filing and processing of formal (type 01) and informal (type 11) entry summaries for those who volunteer to submit such entry summaries in ACE. It also allows importers with ACE accounts (and brokers if granted cross account access) to respond to certain CBP forms via the ACE portal. CBP sources note that about 41 entities are filing entry summaries in ACE, and that ACE entry summaries represent less than 1% of all summaries filed.)
No Programming Issues Moved to Closed List
No programming issues were moved from the “Open” list to the “Closed” list with this update.
Four Programming Issues Added to the Open List
With this update, CBP has newly listed the following four programming issues as "Open."

| 11/09/11 | PSC Filing Explanation Not Returned in ACE ES Query. A Post Summary Correction (PSC) entry summary transaction submitted to ACE is required to include an explanation of the reason for the PSC filing. The explanation is provided by the trade in one or more AE transaction 36-records. ACE stores the explanation so that it may be viewed on the ACE portal by CBP users and ACE should return the explanation to the trade in the output of the Entry Summary Query transaction when such details are requested. However, the PSC filing explanation (in 36-record(s)) is currently not returned. |
| 11/15/11 | ACE Entry Summary Not in ACS. A trade participant filed an entry summary transaction in ACE yesterday, 11/14/11, which ACE processed and accepted in ACE. However, the entry summary does not exist in ACS. The event which sends the entry summary data to ACS was not processed an rejected by ACS. |
| 11/16/11 | Entry Summary in ACE and ACS. An entry summary submitted to ACE by a trade participant on 11/15/11 at 19:30:39 was accepted by and added to the ACE data base. However, when the data was sent to ACS, ACS rejected it for the following reason “ACE: ENTRY REC. BELONGS TO ACS”. It appears that the filer also submitted the entry summary to ACS on the same day, 11/15/11, but at 20:13:24. |
