Monitoring Liquidation of Entries in ACE. CBP deployed enhancements for the trade community that provide importers with an ACE Secure Data Portal Account the capability to monitor the liquidation of their entries by using the ACE reporting tool. This capability is in support of an ongoing effort to streamline the notification process and reduce CBP's operating costs, specifically costs associated with printing and mailing liquidation notices to importers filing electronic entry summaries. (See ITT's Online Archives 11081706 and 11091508 for summaries of CBP's final rule discontinuing the mailing of the paper courtesy notices for electronically filed entry summaries.)
Document Image System (DIS). Requirements for the DIS were defined for establishing company profiles for document owners and senders. DIS will synchronize company profiles with ACE profiles and implement business rules to ensure that: 1) only valid document senders can submit document images to DIS, and 2) outbound messages from DIS to the trade are routed correctly. DIS Client Rep Tools requirements were also defined. These tools will help CBP Client Reps to: 1) troubleshoot issues related to document image messages submitted by the trade, and 2) provide guidance to the trade so that the messages can be correctly processed by DIS. (See ITT's Online Archives 11110416 for summary of CBP's eligibility criteria for the initial DIS test (pilot) for ACE entry summary filers and for ACE entry summaries only.)
(See ITT's Online Archives 11080917 for previous summary of the ACE Accomplishments fact sheet, listing 22 accomplishments from January to June 2011.)
