CITA Receives DR-CAFTA "Commercial Availability" Requests for Certain Poly Circular Knit Fleece
The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has issued two notices announcing that interested entities can submit Offers to Supply by December 13, 2011, or provide a Rebuttal to an Offer by December 19, 2011, regarding two "commercial availability" requests it received under the DR-CAFTA, on behalf of Hansoll Textile Ltd., for certain heather color and solid color 100% polyester circular knit three end fleece fabrics.

The commercial availability requests:
- allege that certain heather color and solid color 100% polyester circular knit three end fleece fabrics classifiable under HTS subheading 6001.92.0000 cannot be supplied by the domestic industries or Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, or Honduras industries in commercial quantities in a timely manner; and
- ask CITA to allow these fabrics to be sourced from outside the DR-CAFTA region without destroying eligibility for DR-CAFTA treatment of certain apparel.
Offers to Supply Fabrics & Rebuttal Submissions
Those parties wishing to submit a response with an offer to supply the subject fabrics or provide a rebuttal submission to a response should follow the revised procedures detailed in CITA's modified final procedures for DR-CAFTA commercial availability requests. CITA Commercial Availability Determinations due by Jan 12
Both commercial availability investigations are projected to be completed by January 12, 2012.
