HS Update Reflects Recent Proclamation on Footwear, Cotton, Chile FTA Etc.

Changes were made as a result of Presidential Proclamation 8742, which took effect on December 3, 2011. Proclamation 8742 made tariff changes for textile bottomed footwear, upland cotton, and certain rules of origin for the U.S.-Chile free trade agreement (UCFTA). In addition, modifications were made to reflect the annual special program staged rate reductions. Adjustments required by the verification of the 2011 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) were made as well.

(See ITT's Online Archives 11111819 for detailed reminder on the footwear HTS changes, 11110712 for the upland cotton HTS changes and 11110417 for the UCFTA HTS rules of origin changes.)
