Domestic AD/CV Coalition Submits Comments for Dec 7 COAC Meeting
The Coalition to Enforce Antidumping & Countervailing Duty Orders has submitted comments to the Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of Customs and Border Protection in advance of the December 7, 2011 COAC meeting. These comments, which are posted on U.S. Customs and Border Protection's website and addressed to COAC’s Antidumping/Countervailing Duty Subcommittee, represent the views of member U.S. industries injured by unfairly traded imports.

Domestics Say Neither a Prospective nor Retrospective System Addresses AD/CVD Evasion
Among other things, the Coalition states that a decision by the Administration to employ either a retrospective or a prospective system for assessing AD and CV duties does not address the problem created by willful evasion of AD/CVD orders. They state that to address evasion CBP and the legitimate importing community must expand their efforts.
Want to Assist COAC in Developing Recommendations and Pilot Projects
The Coalition added that they would like to assist the COAC AD/CVD Subcommittee by sharing its knowledge and experience in a joint and collaborative endeavor to "form specific recommendations and potential pilot projects that can help address ongoing concerns related to collection and enforcement issues in AD/CVD cases."
