(In December 2011, CITA received DR-CAFTA commercial availability requests for certain heather color and solid color 100% polyester circular knit three end fleece fabrics. The commercial availability requests: (i) allege that certain heather color and solid color 100% polyester circular knit three end fleece fabrics classifiable under HTS subheading 6001.92.0000 cannot be supplied by the domestic industries or Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, or Honduras industries in commercial quantities in a timely manner; and (ii) ask CITA to allow these fabrics to be sourced from outside the DR-CAFTA region without destroying eligibility for DR-CAFTA treatment of certain apparel.

CITA Commercial Availability Determinations Now Due by Feb 2

According to CITA, both commercial availability investigations are now projected to be completed by February 2, 2012 (from January 12, 2012). According to CITA, this reflects a two week extension.
