Suspension of Liquidation Cash/Bond Requirements
The ITA is directing CBP to suspend liquidation of all entires of circular welded pipe from India that are entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after March 30, 2012, and to require a CV cash deposit or bond for such entries of merchandise as follows:
Exporter/Manufacturer | CV Rate |
---|---|
Lloyds Metals and Engineers Ltd. | 285.95% |
Zenith Birla Ltd. | 285.95% |
“All-Others” | 285.95% |
1The ITA states that the Government of India and the mandatory respondents Lloyds Metals and Zenith Birla did not respond to its requests for information, and therefore the ITA is applying an Adverse Facts Available (AFA) CV rate of 285.95% to the two mandatory respondents. The ITA also states that, as they have no other information to determine an "all-others" rate, the AFA rate of 285.95% will also apply to "all-others" exporters and manufacturers.
(The period of investigation is 04/01/10 -- 03/31/11. See ITA’s notice for more information, including the scope of the investigation (unchanged since initiation), detailed cash deposit requirements, etc. See ITT’s Online Archives 11112216 for summary of the initiation of this investigation and its companion AD investigation, as well as AD & CV investigations of subject merchandise from Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
