to promote U.S. exports. DECs are groups of international business professionals that are appointed by the Secretary of Commerce. A 16-member DEC National Steering Committee represents more than 1,300 local DEC members, and serves as a liaison to ITA. The NDEC is a private, non-profit corporation that was independently established by members of the DEC National Steering Committee.
