USTR Seeking Applicants for Several Dispute Settlement Panels
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is seeking applicants to serve on dispute settlement panels required for some trade agreements to which the U.S. is a party, it said in a Federal Register notice. The agreements include the U.S.-Australia Free Trade Agreement, the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement, the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement, the U.S.-Morocco Free Trade Agreement, and the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement. To qualify for the contingent list, an applicant must: (1) be objective, reliable, and possess sound judgment; (2) have expertise or experience in law, international trade, or the resolution of disputes arising under international trade agreements; (3) be independent of, and not be affiliated with or take instructions from either Party; and (4) comply with a code of conduct.
