CBP Again Extends Deadline for Comments on Delivery Tickets, Trademarks

CBP is giving an additional 30 days for comments on an existing information collection on trademarks and copyrights. The original deadline was Dec. 31 (see ITT's Online Archives 12103008.) The new comment deadline is Feb. 7. CBP proposes to extend the expiration date of this information collection without a change to the burden hours or to the information collected, according to a Federal Register notice scheduled for Jan. 8. CBP also extend the comment period for an existing informationa collectin on delivery tickets. The new deadline is Feb. 7. CBP Form 6043, Delivery Ticket, is used to document transfers of imported merchandise between parties. This form collects information such as the name and address of the consignee; the name of the importing carrier; lien information; the location of where the goods originated and where they were delivered; and information about the imported merchandise. CBP Form 6043 is filled out by warehouse proprietors, carriers, Foreign Trade Zone operators and others involved in transfers of imported merchandise.

CBP estimates there will be 1,000 respondents per year and 200 responses per respondent. The time per response is estimated to be 20 minutes. CBP estimates the total annual burden hours will be 66,000.
