CBP Posts GIFs on Use of PGA Message Set in ACE

CBP posted three Great Idea Forms (GIF) on a request from the Trade Support Network meant to allow for interaction with the Participating Government Agency (PGA) Message Set through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

The GIFs are:

  • Ability to Correct the PGA Message Set (here)
    • Description: The trade community is requesting the ability to make changes to the PGA Message Set via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and through the ACE Secure Data Portal. Users should also be able to file a Post Summary Correction to correct PGA Message Set Data related to the ACE Entry Summary either via EDI or through the ACE Portal. Data submitted through the PGA Message set should be corrected through the PGA Message Set. In the case where the data is correct but needs to be substantiated, trade requests the ability to use Document Image System as an option.
  • Ability to Include PGA Message Set Data Elements in ACE Reports (here)
    • Description: The trade community is requesting the ability to add PGA Message Set data elements whether transmitted in support of cargo release at the time of entry filing or transmitted at the time of entry summary filing to Cargo Entry and Entry Summary Reports. These data elements should also be added to any applicable Authorized Data Extract.
  • Ability to View the PGA Message Set via the ACE Portal (here)
    • Description: The trade community is requesting the ability to view the PGA Message Set data through the ACE Secure Data Portal or a link from the ACE Secure Data Portal to where the data is housed. The ACE Portal should provide the option of viewing the data itself or the image if sent via the DIS. Trade is also requesting the ability to search for the PGA Message Set in the ACE Portal data by entry number, internal document number (assuming one is assigned), Harmonized Tariff Number, and by PGA type (FDA, FWS, etc) within a specified date range. Visibility should be available to all parties associated with the filing of the entry or entry summary.
