Canadian Government Notices for March 8
The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices for March 8 (Note that some may also be given separate headlines.)

- Requirements for cold storage for exports to the EU. The CFIA updated the Canadian Fish Inspection Regulations which inform exporters of the requirements to store frozen fish and seafood products prior to their export to the EU. (here)
- Canada-Japan agricultural trade. The Harper Government, following a successful trade mission to Japan, is promoting Canada’s agricultural exports and expanding the relationship through Economic Partnership Agreements between the countries. (here)
- Public hearings for the CITT. The CITT posted its schedule of upcoming appeals on various trade issues and harmonized tariff rulings. (here)
- Canada Panama free trade agreement. The Canada-Panama free trade agreement will take effect April 1, and once implemented will eliminate customs duties on most originating goods. (here)
- Emanifest informed compliance. The CBSA said it's extending the Emanifest informed compliance period for highway carriers. (here)
- Canadian international merchandise trade. Canada’s merchandise exports rose 2.1% in January and its imports increased 1.9% which decreased Canada’s trade deficit with the world from $322 million to $237 million. (here)
