State Retains Foreign Terrorist Organization Designation
Abu Sayyaf Group, originally named a Foreign Terrorist Organization in 2008, will remain as such, the State Department said. State, along with the Treasury Department and the Attorney General’s office, reviewed the group’s designation and found the reasons for Abu Sayyaf’s designation have not substantially changed.
