The NFAC will contribute towards larger freight policy initiatives and is another investment towards building the strong national freight system that is so critical for our nation’s economy. DOT said that such investments are essential in achieving the Obama administration’s goal of doubling U.S. exports by 2015.

Members will serve two-year terms and meet at least three times a year, with the first open public meeting taking place on June 25 for an overview of Map-21 Freight provisions and preliminary identification of NFAC activities. Further information about the meeting can be found on the Federal Register.
