APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Aug. 8

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Aug. 8 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Treatment Manual: The USDA APHIS PPQ Treatment Manual (here) was revised. The reason for the update was to revise the bifenthrin treatment schedules for balled and burlapped nursery stock for the treatment of Imported Fire Ant. Changes, indicated by black change bars in the left margin, are located on pages 5-8-9 through 5-8-16.
