APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Sept. 18

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Sept. 18 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Puerto Rico and USVI Manual: The USDA APHIS PPQ Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands manual (here) was updated to include procedures for growers and stakeholders to follow when requesting new market access for fruits and vegetables to other parts of the United States. Changes are indicated by black change bars in the left margin and can be found on pages 3-2 through 3-5.
