APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Dec. 13
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Dec. 13 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

FAVIR and Fruits and Vegetables Manual: FAVIR (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) were revised. There were several reasons for the revision:
- Revise the list of approved papaya orchards from Chiapas, Mexico
- Include detailed import requirements for okra from several countries:
- All countries of the West Indies (page 3-8)
- Brazil (page 3-47)
- Colombia (page 3-76)
- Ecuador (page 3-101)
- Guyana (page 3-138)
- Mexico (page 3-209)
- Peru (page 3-250)
- Suriname (page 3-297)
- Trinidad and Tobago (page 3-314)
- Venezuela (page 3-329)
