APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Dec. 30

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Dec. 30 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

PPQ Identifiers and Specialists: The List of Identifiers, Co-lateral, and National Specialists (here) was updated, 12/2013-11, to add new addresses and phone and fax numbers. Revisions are as follows:

  • Page 1: Added new fax numbers for Atlanta, Georgia identifiers
  • Page 3: Added new entomologist's information for Buffalo, New York
  • Page 9: Added new address and identifiers' phone numbers and fax number for Los Angeles, California Plant Inspection Station
  • Page 11: Added new fax number for Miami Plant Inspection Station entomologist
  • Page 12: Added new fax number for Miami Plant Inspection Station plant pathologist
  • Page 13: Added new address for Nogales, Arizona Plant Inspection Station and identifiers' new fax number
  • Page 17: Added new entomologist's information for Yuma, Arizona
  • Page 23: Added new fax number for Cecidomyiidae (Diptera) Routine & Prompt identifier
  • Page 24: Added new address for Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Lygaeoidea Routine & Prompt identifier
