APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 10

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 10 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Manual for Agricultural Clearance: The Manual for Agricultural Clearance (here) was revised to update contact information for the Plant Inspection Station in Linden, NJ. Changes, indicated by black change bars in the left page margin, are on page L-1-3.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual: The following changes have been made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The individual changes are listed below.

  • Table 3-151 Wood and wood products navigation change language at the end of footnote #1 has been changed for clarity
  • Throughout chapter 3 Reference change "Processed" spelling has been corrected in the footer
