APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for March 11
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes March 11 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual: The following change was made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The individual change is listed below.
- Table 3-130 FRESH, CUT fruit - on page 4 of 5 first cell in last column (Then:) directions have been corrected
Animal Product Manual: The following changes were made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. Specific changes and corrections are listed below.
Chapter 3-1 Reference
- Page 3-1-4 under Cosmetics heading - text has been added
- Page 3-1-5 under Hides and Related By-Products heading - second paragraph has been revised
- Table 3-1-2 Manual Reference Locator - references have been updated
Chapter 3-2 Avian Products
- Table 3-2-4 Eggs and Egg Products NOT Authorized by a VS Permit - table reference has been corrected
Chapter 3-16 Ovine and Caprine Products
- Ovine and Caprine Products Locator - "beef" has been deleted from second cell, first column (If:)
Chapter 3-17 Ruminant Products
- Ruminant Meat and Meat By-Products Locator (page 3 of 5) - "beef" has been deleted from the last cell, first column (If the importation is:)
