APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 1
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes April 1 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products: The following change was made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information. The individual change is listed below.
- Table 3-152 Screening wood to determine admissibility - "musical instruments" has been added to the language in footnote #1
FAVIR and Fruits and Vegetables: The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the FAVIR database (here) were updated to revise the import requirements for fresh apple, apricot, blueberry, cherry, grape, kiwi, nectarine, peach, pear, plum, pomegranate, and quince fruit from Argentina. The change was done in cooperation with the National Plant Protection Organization of Argentina to reflect the International Plant Protection Convention standard for recommended wording for Additional Declarations for Phytosanitary Certificates for commodities from Pest Free Areas as detailed in ISPM Standard 12. Changes in the Fruits and Vegetables Manual, indicated by black change bars in the left page margin, are on page 3-19.
