APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 17
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes April 17 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Treatment Manual: The following changes have been made to the Treatment Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information. Specific changes are listed below.
Chapter 5-2 Treatment Schedules T100--Schedules for Fruit, Nuts, and Vegetables
- Treatment schedule T105-a-2 - jackfruit, pineapple, and star fruit (carambola) have been added to the Malaysia entry
Plants for Planting Manual: The Plants for Planting Manual (here) was updated, 04/2014-26, to change the requirements for Zizania spp. and Hibiscus spp. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin, are as follows:
- Page 4-223 through 4-226: Deleted T203-g-2 from Hibiscus spp. seeds
- Page 4-516: Zizania spp., changed to include all propagules and added 7 CFR 319.37-2; removed separate entries for propagules except seeds and seeds. Added 7 CFR 319.37-2 to Zizania texana spp. all propagules
