APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 28
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes April 28 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Certified Irradiation Facilities: The National Center for Electron Beam Research in College Station, Texas was added to the APHIS Certified Irradiation Facilities List (here).
Treatment Manual: The following changes have been made to the Treatment Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information. Specific changes are listed below.
Chapter 5-4 Treatment Schedules T300--Schedules for Miscellaneous Plant Products
- Page 5-4-3 T301-a-7 schedule - important notice beneath the schedule has been removed
Chapter 8-1 Equipment
- Page 8-1-28 under Fan Velocity heading - pi has been changed to "3.14" throughout
