OFAC Adds 12 Additional Russian Officials to SDN List On Human Rights Grounds

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added the following individuals to the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list on May 20:

The following individuals have been added to OFAC's SDN List:

Alisov, Igor Borisovich
Gaus, Alexandra Viktorovna
Khlebnikov, Vyacheslav Georgievich
Klyuev, Dmitry Vladislavovich
Kratov, Dmitry Borisovich
Krechetov, Andrei Alexandrovich
Litvinova, Larisa Anatolievna
Markelov, Viktor Aleksandrovich
Stepanov, Vladlen Yurievich
Sugaipov, Umar
Tagiyev, Fikret
Vakhayev, Musa

The sanctions target individuals implicated in the 2009 alleged murder of Russian citizen Sergei Magnitsky while in police custody, in accordance with the Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act, passed into law in 2012, and have no relation to the ongoing turmoil in Ukraine, said the House Committee on Foreign Affairs (here).
