BIS Adds 29 Entities to the Unverified List From China, Hong Kong, Russia and UAE

The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) amended the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to add to the Unverified List 29 entities with addresses in China, Hong Kong, Russia and the United Arab Emirates. The Unverified List includes entities for which the U.S. government failed to complete satisfactory end-use checks, and therefore could not verify the entities' bona fides. BIS also amended the EAR to require Automated Export System filings for all tangible items subject to the EAR that involve Unverified List entities.
