APHIS Proposes to Relax Import Requirements for Cattle From Sonora, Mexico
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is proposing to relax requirements for the importation of cattle from the Mexican state of Sonora, after finding the region free of fever ticks. Under the proposal, cattle imported from Sonora would no longer be required to undergo acaricide dipping treatment, and documentation associated with dipping would also no longer be necessary. Comments are due Sept. 15.
