  • Starkist Co. challenging CBP's denial of protests on the classification of its prepared tuna products. CBP classified the products in subheading 1604.14.10 (35%). Starkist says the prepared tuna products should have been classified in subheadings 1604.14.22 (in quota, 6%) and 1604.14.30 (ex quota, 12.5%). Summons filed Aug. 25. Court number 14-00197.
  • Janssen Ortho challenging CBP's denial of protests on the classification of its darunavir ethanolate. CBP classified it under subheading 2935.00.9500 (6.5%). Citing a CBP ruling, Janssen Ortho says it should have been classified under subheadings 3003.90.0000, K2935.00.6000, and K2935.00.9500 (free). Summons filed Aug. 26.Court number 14-00198.
  • Whirlpool Corporation challenging a Commerce Department scope ruling finding its kitchen appliance door handles are subject to antidumping and countervailing duties on aluminum extrusions from China. Complaint filed Aug. 26.Court number 14-00199.
  • PF Stores challenging the Commerce Department's liquidation instructions related to antidumping duties on wooden bedroom furniture from China. Complaint filed Aug. 26.Court number 14-00200.
  • U.S. Steel challenging the Commerce Department's final negative antidumping duty determination oil country tubular goods from Saudi Arabia. Complaint filed Aug. 26.Court number 14-00201.
  • CC Metals and Alloys (CCMA) and Globe Specialty Metals challenging the Commerce Department's final negative antidumping duty determination on ferrosilicon from Russia. Summons filed Aug. 29.Court number 14-00202.
  • Fine Furniture (Shanghai) Limited challenging the Commerce Department's final results of countervailing duty administrative review on multilayered wood flooring from China. Summons filed Aug. 29.Court number 14-00203.

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Aug. 25-31:

  • Borusan Mannesmann Boru Sanayi ve Ticaret appealing a CIT decision related to the final results of an administrative review on circular welded carbon steel pipe and tube from Turkey. Filed Aug. 25. Court number 14-1744.
  • Jacobi Carbons appealing a CIT decision on the final results of an antidumping duty administrative review on activated carbon from China. Court numbers 14-1752, -1753, -1754, and -1756.
  • JBF RAK appealing a CIT decision on an antidumping duty administrative review on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, sheet and strip from the United Arab Emirates. Filed Aug. 28. Court number 14-1774.
