APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Jan. 12

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Jan. 12 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Chapter 3-2 Avian Products

Primary Control Zone in BC Canada - language has been added to the following pages: 3-2-2; 3-2-4; 3-2-6; 3-2-11; 3-2-16; 3-2-18; 3-2-20; 3-2-22; 3-2-23; 3-2-32; 3-2-34; 3-2-36; and 3-2-39
Page 3-2-8 under Edible Eggs and Egg Products heading - language in Notice Table has been changed
Table 3-2-6 Edible Eggs and Egg Products - footnote #1 indicator has been added to the first cell of the first column (If the product originated in:); NEW footnote #1
Table 3-2-8 Fresh, Unfertilized Eggs (page 1 of 3) - new language has been added in the first cell of the first column
