- Canadian economy accounts for fourth quarter growth in 2014. Statistics Canada has released gross domestic product (GDP) numbers which show that it grew by 0.6% in the fourth quarter. However, exports for the same period were down 0.4%. (here)
- Canada to plan US Dollar Global bond issue. The Government of Canada has announced it plans to issue U.S.-dollar denominated global bonds later this week as an attempt to diversify Canada’s foreign exchange reserves as well as meet foreign currency requirements. (here)
- Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement (CKFTA) Rules of Origin. The CBSA has released Memorandum D11-5-12 which provides a link that outlines and explains the CKFTA rules of origin. (here)
- Rules of Origin respecting the General Preferential Tariff and Least Developed Country Tariff. The CBSA has released Memorandum D11-4-4, which explains amendments to the General Preferential Tariff and Least Developed Country Tariff rules of origin. (here)
- NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. DFAIT updated the 2015 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports (here) and exports (here).
