FDA to Hold Public Meeting on FSMA Implementation in April
The Food and Drug Administration will host a public meeting on April 23-24 in Washington to discuss implementation of its Food Safety Modernization Act regulations, it said in a notice (here). At the meeting, stakeholders will have the opportunity to provide input as FDA develops its work plans to implement aspects of FSMA, including the Foreign Supplier Verification Program, the prevention of intentional adulteration, and preventative controls for food. Comments that address the regulations themselves will not be considered, said FDA. Registration to attend in person or participate via webinar will be available (here). Written comments are due May 26.
