APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 6

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes April 6 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Chapter 2-2 Procedures

Page 2-2-4 under Animal Product/Animal By-Products On Hold Shipment Release Request heading - the term "form" has been changed to "application" in sixth bullet

Chapter 3-1 Introduction

Table 3-1-2 Manual Reference Locator - (page 2 of 4) footnote indicator #2 has been added to second-to-last cell, second column (And is:); (page 3 of 4) footnote indicator numbering has been updated; (page 4 of 4) NEW footnote #2 has been added

Chapter 3-2 Avian Products
