APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 30

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes April 30 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products: The following changes have been made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:

Chapter 1 Introduction

  • Table 1-3 Where to Report Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual Problems - contact information has been updated

Chapter 3 Reference

  • Table 3-131 FRESH, CUT fruit (page 2 of 3) - Ghana mango rows have been added to the table; NEW footnotes #5, #6, and #7 have been added to accompany NEW Ghana data
  • Table 3-174 Canadian-origin timber products - table cross-reference has been corrected
