APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 1-3

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes June 1-3 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Chapter 2-2 Procedures Clearing Regulated Cargo

Page 2-2-2 top of page - language added to the first and fifth bullets; NEW "bolt cutters" bullet
Table 2-2-2 Action to Take When Importer Requests Special Movement - language in footnote #1 has been revised
