APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 17
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes June 17 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:
Chapter 3-2 Avian Products
- Page 3-2-1 - NEW "Products NOT Covered in This Section" heading and information has been added
- Page 3-2-8 under Edible Eggs and Egg Products heading - language has been revised
- Table 3-2-27 Fresh (Chilled or Frozen) Poultry and Fowl Meat and Meat Products from an APHIS-Defined EU Poultry Trade Region Country - NEW second column (And is from:) has been added
Chapter 3-4 Camelid and Cervid Products
- Table 3-4-2 Camelid and Cervid Products Locator (page 2 of 2) - language in the last cell of the first column (If:) has been revised
Glossary
- Page Glossary-1-19 under egg products definition - language has been revised
Postentry Quarantine: The following change has been made to the Postentry Quarantine Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:
Chapter 3 Growing Site Inspections
- Page 3-4 - PPQ Form named in the Notice box has been revised
Chapter 4 Inspecting Postentry Quarantine Material
- Page 4-7 - first Notice box has been revised
Appendix C Directory of SPROs and State PEQ Contacts
- Table C-1 Directory of State Plant Regulatory Officials and State PEQ Contacts - (page 2 of 6) SPRO for the State of California has been revised; (page 4 of 6) SPRO for the State of New Jersey has been revised; (page 5 of 6) SPRO's email address for the State of Texas has been revised
