APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 1
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 1 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

State-Managed Phytosanitary Program Manual: The Federally Recognized State Managed Phytosanitary Program Manual (here) has been revised to do the following:
- Replace information on Quality Assurance Guidelines in Chapter 3 with a link to that information in Chapter 5.
- Update information on the Domestic Agricultural Quarantine Inspection (AQI) Review Process.
- Add a link to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services website including information on the potato/tomato psyllid, Bactericera cockerelli.
Revisions, indicated by black change bars in the left page margins, are on the following pages:
- Chapter 3: Procedures: Page 3-6.
- Chapter 5: Quality Assurance: Page 5-1.
- Appendix B: Federally Recognized State Managed Phytosanitary Programs/Links to State Program Websites: Page B-1.
