APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 31

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 31 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Fruits and Vegetables. The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been revised to align with Federal Order DA-2015-42 (here), Import Requirements for Medfly Host Commodities from Chile, issued July 31, 2015 and effective immediately. Changes in the manual are on pages 3-66 through 3-69.
