APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Oct. 15
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Oct. 15 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Fruits and Vegetables. The Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements (FAVIR) database (here) have been updated. There were several reasons for the update:
- Align with the finalized operational workplan for domestic irradiation of citrus and manzano pepper from Mexico
- Add the synonyms "Primofiori" and "Mesoro" to Fino lemon from Spain
Changes in the manual are located on pages 3-206 through 3-209, and 3-293.
