APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Nov. 12-17
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Nov. 12-17 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Israeli Nursuries: The List of Israeli Nurseries, Spodoptera Exclusion Program (here) that are authorized to export plants for planting (except bulbs, dormant herbaceous perennials, and seeds) from Israel to the United States has been updated, 11/2015-07. Information for new Grower No. 683 was added to the list.
USDA APHIS PPQ Treatment Manual: The USDA APHIS PPQ Treatment Manual (here) has been updated as follows:
- Revise the specifications for temperature monitoring equipment used during fumigations of six hours or more. Fumigation facilities and pest control operators have a 60 day grace period in order to purchase and install equipment.
- Clarify the language regarding methyl bromide fumigation in ship stores, galleys, and crew quarters
Changes are indicated by black change bars in the left margin throughout chapters 2-4, 2-6, 2-11, 6-2, and 6-3.
