APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Dec. 4
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Dec. 4 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

CITES Timber Species: The CITES Timber Species Manual (here) has been updated, 09/2015-45. The revision, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin, is on the following page:
- Page 6-5: Changed the CBP AI contact for CITES related matters for Tuscan USPS
Hawaii Manual: The USDA APHIS PPQ Hawaii Manual (here) has been updated. The reason for the update is to add a systems approach treatment, D301.76(a-3), for fresh, mature curry leaves intended for consumption from areas quarantined for Asian Citrus Psyllid (Federal Order DA-2015-04 (here)). The Federal Order is pending final regulatory approval. Changes are on pages 3-2 and 3-3.
