APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Dec. 11-14

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Dec. 11-14 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

CITES Timber Species: The CITES Timber Species Manual (here) has been updated, 12/2015-48. Revisions are on the following page:

  • Page 5-5: Removed a name from and added a name to the CITES designated staff in North Carolina

FAVIR and Fruits and Vegetables Manual: FAVIR (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) have been updated to change the approved ports of entry for pepper from Spain to North Atlantic ports only. Changes in the manual are located on pages 3-294 and 3-297.
