APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 3

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 3 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Postentry Quarantine: The following change has been made to the Postentry Quarantine Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:

Appendix C Directory of SPROs and State PEQ Contact

  • Table C-1 Directory of State Plant Regulatory Officials and State PEQ Contacts - (page 1 of 6) Alaska contact information has been revised

Miscellaneous and Processed Products: The following changes have been made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Chapter 3 Reference

  • Table 3-101 Cotton (Gossypium spp.) - (page 2 of 2) content in the third row has been revised
  • Table 3-110 Hibiscus inflorescences in association with plant parts - content in the fourth cell of the third column (Then:) has been revised
