APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 24
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 24 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Postentry Quarantine: The following change has been made to the Postentry Quarantine Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:
Appendix A Directory of PPQ Postentry Quarantine Liaison Officers
- Table A-1 Directory of PEQ Liaison Officers - (page 4 of 6) North Carolina contact information has been revised
Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:
Chapter 2-2 Procedures
- Table 2-2-9 Action to Take on Cargo When Authorizing a Shipment to an Approved Establishment, Approved Warehouse, or Approved Rapid Defrost Facility - NEW fourth row has been added in the second column (And the Importation is:)
Chapter 3-2 Avian Products
- Table 3-2-19 Bouillon Cubes of Poultry Origin, Broth Containing Poultry, Meat Extract/Broth of Poultry Origin, Powdered Chicken Meat, and Dehydrated Powders or Granules of Poultry Origin - section (d) has been added to footnote #6
Chapter 3-11 Human Pharmaceuticals and Human Vaccines
- Table 3-11-3 Human Pharmaceuticals, Human Vaccines, Antivenom, Dietary Supplements, Organs, and Their Derivatives, and Nutriceuticals Containing Animal-Derived Components - (page 4 of 4) misspelling in footnote #1 and footnote #3 have been corrected
