APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for March 14-15

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes March 14-15 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Chapter 2-4 Procedures

  • Table 2-4-15 Returned U.S.-Origin Meat or Meat Products - language in the fourth cell of the second column has been revised; NEW footnote #1 has been added
  • Table 2-4-16 Returned U.S.-Origin Perishable Meat or Meat Products from a Military Base or Installation - language in the fourth cell of the second column has been revised; NEW footnote #1 has been added
