APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 15-18
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 15-18 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Postentry Quarantine: The following changes have been made to the Postentry Quarantine Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:
Appendix A Directory of PPQ Postentry Quarantine Liaison Officers
- Table A-1 Directory of PEQ Liaison Officers change contact for Minnesota has been revised
Appendix C Directory of SPROs and State PEQ Contacts
- Table C-1 Directory of SPROs and State PEQ Contacts change contact for Minnesota has been revised.
Treatment Manual: The USDA APHIS PPQ Treatment Manual (here) has been revised for the following reasons:
- Added Pac-Armor to the list of approved packaging material for use during methyl bromide fumigations (page 2-3-6)
- Clarified responsibilities of the PPQ official and the fumigator during methyl bromide tarpaulin fumigations (pages 2-4-1 through 2-4-48)
- Added the snail family, Geomitridae, to treatment schedules T110-c-1, T402-a-2, T403-a-2-1, and T403-a-6-1 (change in nomenclature) (pages 5-5-5, 5-5-7, and 5-5-10)
- Corrected CFR reference error (page 6-4-17).
