APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 19-21
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 19-21 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Plants for Planting: The Plants for Planting Manual (here) has been updated, 07/2016-46. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, are as follows:
- Page 2-8: Added a link to the Plants Established in Approved Growing Media Program under Growing Media exceptions
- Page 2-9: Added a section for Phalaenopsis spp. in Approved Growing Media
- Page 2-10: Added a section for Rhipsalidopsis spp. in Approved Growing Media and a section for Schlumbergera spp. in Approved Growing Media
Postentry Quarantine: The following changes have been made to the Postentry Quarantine Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:
Appendix B Plant Inspection Stations
- Table B-1 Directory of Plant Inspection Stations. Update contact for El Segundo, California
Appendix C Directory of SPROs and State PEQ Contacts
- Table C-1 Directory of SPROs and State PEQ Contacts. Change contact for Louisiana.
